HKUST Alumni Association – Beijing Chapter was founded in 2005. Our mission is to strengthen the mutual understanding and communication among HKUST alumni who are working and living in Beijing, broaden their career visions and explore cooperation opportunities through sharing successful experience and stories, as well as keeping them abreast of the latest developments of the University. Throughout the years, our Chapter has successfully held a series of social events like various types of parties, outdoor activities and community services. In addition, the Chapter always offers its support to the HKUST President and other key officials and board members during their visits to the capital city from time to time.

- MBA Alumni Association Guangdong ChapterMBAAA Guangdong Chapter
Launched in 2002, the HKUST Shenzhen MBA Program now has more than 580 alumni and students living and studying in Guangdong, and this number keeps growing. Most of them reside in Shenzhen while others in Guangzhou, Dongguan, Hong Kong, and other cities nearby. In October 2007, the HKUST MBA Alumni Association Guangdong Chapter (MBAAA GD Chapter) was officially established in Shenzhen, with its committee members representing current students and graduates from different graduation years.
The formation of the local chapter is a milestone in strengthening closer ties between different intakes, helping graduates keep in touch with each other and fostering a strong sense of belonging. It also tightens the connection with the University and the Business School, as well as with the alumni in different locations and cohorts.
With the support of the MBA Shenzhen Office, the MBAAA GD Chapter develops and organizes a variety of activities in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan and Hong Kong. These include reunions, continuous learning workshops, seminars and family gatherings. Such events foster the cohesion between different intakes and facilitate networking opportunities among the HKUST MBA community.

The mission of the Guangzhou Chapter is to connect HKUST alumni in Guangzhou, create a platform to share expertise and experience, and promote the reputation of the alma master. At the same time, it strives to strengthen communication with other alumni organizations in the Pearl River Delta and other parts of the world.
Established in 2021, the Guangzhou Chapter has gradually developed as one of the most vigorous local alumni associations of HKUST. Since its establishment, the Guangzhou Chapter successfully organized various activities, including jazz concerts, Christmas parties, hikings and outstanding Alumni sharing series seminars, etc.

- Shanghai Alumni ChapterHKUST Alumni Association Shanghai Chapter
HKUST Alumni Association Shanghai Chapter aims at uniting alumni, serving alumni and strengthening the communication among alumni in Shanghai, and between alumni and the University.
Established in 2013, the Shanghai Chapter has gradually formed a steady operation model and developed into one of the most vigorous local alumni associations worldwide. In the past several years, the Shanghai Chapter successfully organized various activities including Jazz Master Concert, Christmas Party, Sino-HK Economy Forum, Annual Spring Reception Dinner, Outstanding Alumni Sharing series seminars and commonweal activities. The interest groups also play active roles in the community e.g. the Sports Club won the Group and Individual Champion in the HK joint school table tennis competition and the Men Championship in the Badminton competition, and the Music Club created the song “Clearwater Bay” celebrating the 25th anniversary of HKUST.
