Wincy has been in the Technology Industry for 20 years and is currently responsible for the IoT (Internet of Things) business for Microsoft in South East Asia and Korea. Internet of Things refers to the physical devices such as phones, vehicles, fit bands, smart refrigerators, and smart air conditioning systems which are embedded with network connectivity that enable these objects to collect and exchange data. 
 
Through ongoing interactions with customers, partners, and sales teams, Wincy defines business requirements, product positioning and go-to-market strategies for Microsoft IoT Solutions. 

Before this role, Wincy held different management positions in Oracle, and was responsible for Technology, Middleware and Oracle Consulting. Prior to Oracle, Wincy was in HP responsible for Technology and Services Sales. 
 
With a key role overseeing the APAC market, Wincy is now based in Singapore and needs to travel around Asia for work. Dedicated to giving back to HKUST, she serves as a mentor to students, and her advice to students and young alumni is that “Grading is not important, the most important is attitude”
